I downloaded this book for free on my kindle in exchange for my honest review. I have been curious about the Ketogenic diet and have downloaded other books talking about the benefits. This ebook, however, gives a short and sweet introduction to the Ketogenic diet and dives right into different recipes. Some of them are so simple to follow! I am no chef, but I do try to experiment with the ingredients I have in the kitchen to make a tasty (enough) meal. The one I am most excited to try is the tofu scramble. One thing I am marking down a star for is there is (presumably) an error in at least one of the recipes and it suggests using whey protein. Last I checked, vegans don't use whey protein because it comes from milk. But! The one thing that I like best about this ebook is that you can go back to the beginning and press on different links to the different recipes. I am going to keep this ebook in my library for easy access to the different easy to follow healthy recipes.
Great book on Ketogenic diet, this book explains how you can eat vegan and follow the diet. It has a 15 day meal plan, with lots of variety of dishes. I especially like the Keto Breakfast cereal, so tasty and great way to start your morning.
A variety of recipes and includes a meal plan. Not being strictly Vegan nor Ketogenic I cannot be sure of my impression there may be some things included that don't meet requirements of those diets.
The Vegan Ketogenic Diet e-book was not what I was expecting. The e-book consists of an actual diet plan including a lot of vegan recipes using coconut milk, coconut flour, avocados, and a lot of other very health ingredients. Recipes are simple to complex and cover beverages to desserts. If you are looking for some tasty recipes to add to your diet, whether you follow this plan or not, this e-book could be a great addition. The only true downside is the e-book can only be read with the Kobo viewer either on a compatible device or laptop. It is not compatible with Kindle devices and the laptop viewer is a challenge to use. For me this is a real problem as I use my smartphone and Kindle in the kitchen a lot. This book caters to a very unique niche- the Vegan Ketogenic diet. I have sometimes wondered if its possible to do a Keto diet as a vegetarian and this book shows that you can. However, it will be more challenging than it would be for a meat eater. The recipes look intriguing in here. I didn't try them out but I flipped through to see the variety.My biggest concern is the strange/rare ingredients listed on many of the recipes. I would not know where to find things like "hemp hearts". It would be helpful to see an explanation of where to find these things.However, if you can track down the ingredients, this could be a very valuable resource.
I have been successful with weight loss using the standard Atkins type keto diet (20g carb) and was hoping to find some unique inspiration here. NOPE. I downloaded using the Kindle Unlimited and read the recipes on my laptop and have stopped a few pages in.NO CARB COUNTS.... what the heck? Without basic nutritional info including carb counts/fiber/net carbs, you can't successfully have a ketogenic recipe book. Lame. I've been doing this long enough to know the basic carb amounts on the standard items but come on, such lazy writing which leads me to suspect this is just a cut and paste of recipes off much better sources. If you enjoy sleuthing about and wasting time/money on recipes you could find for free on websites, this ebook is for you. If you want to just cut out grains and junk and still loose weight compared to the standard Western diet, this is for you. Otherwise PASS. I suspect the other high star reviews are from people who don't understand keto and who want to keep up a high star rating for free product.
This was a very interesting book, coming from a vegetarian who's interested in losing weight. The book had a meal plan which I'm not really fond of, to be honest, I always feel when it comes to meal plans it's almost set in stone what I'm going to be eating for the next few weeks, and I actually like more free will and choices, so a good comprehensive list and some recipes would have been better for me. The rest of the book was pretty interesting, though. I enjoyed learning more, and I'm really hoping to implement ketogenic eating into my diet.
Warning - this book is a scam. You’ve been warned. I suspect that the positive reviews are friends of or copy accounts by the author, plain and simple.The physical book is printed in extremely poor quality. Once you begin reading it, a good many of the recipes are barely if at all keto, calling for heavy portions of carrots and tomatoes and apples and other high carb ingredients in sizeable portions. And, there are absolutely no nutritional breakdowns for a single recipe; no idea what the caloric/carbohydrate/fat/fiber/protein count is, not even net carbs, unless you yourself do the number-crunching (which more often led me to non-keto figures).I am including pictures so that you can see I’m not making this up. I was bamboozled so that you don’t have to be! And yes, Sam, I am contacting Amazon about this farce as well.
